Abstract
An electric probe is used between two crossed coupled combline resonators in order to realize the required electric coupling for a six-pole elliptic function filter. This realization eliminates the need for resonators with long posts, providing filter compactness and offering a flexible and wide range of couplings. The measured frequency response of the filter shows good agreement with the theoretical analysis.
